Our remote tent camp is located north of The Pas, Manitoba on Cormorant Lake. Camp is accessed by truck or ATV down an abandoned logging road and a short barge ride to camp. Due to the remoteness of this area, there is an excellent population of black bears including mature trophy black bears and color phase bears. The unique location also allows for world class fishing right at camp. It is quite common for hunters to catch trophy Northern Pike right from shore and Walleye from the boat. We also have a few other lakes and creeks a short quad ride away that produces incredible Walleye fishing.
We run a large Weather Haven dome tent with a wooden floor that serves as the kitchen/common area. The kitchen tent has all the dining essentials, as well as a large wood stove to keep everyone warm and dry on cooler days. For sleeping arrangements, we have prospector tents that are equipped with a small wood stove and cots that will sleep 4 hunters each comfortably. Camp is also equipped with a shower with hot water and an outhouse.
Despite being a tent camp, it is very comfortable and is a true example of a Canadian wilderness experience. In the heart of trophy bear and fishing territory, camp is sure to be an outdoor adventure of a lifetime.
Evergreen Resort Lodge is located on beautiful Clearwater Lake located 20 minutes north of The Pas, Manitoba. Clearwater Lake is considered to be the second clearest true-blue lake in the entire world and is known for it's abundant amount of trophy Lake Trout and Northern Pike. The bear population in this area is very strong and supports a great ratio of large black and color bears. We provide all transportation to bait sites, and will typically take a truck to the general area and then ride ATV's into the baits from there.
The main lodge is where hunters will eat and socialize. Hunters will stay in their own modern lakefront cabins that are equipped with beds, bathroom, and a kitchenette which will typically be shared between 3 hunters. Hunting at the lodge is an excellent choice and is a perfect place to stay on a bear hunt.
The outpost cabin is a remote fishing cabin located on Fly-In Lake and is the only cabin on the lake. Although it is called Fly-In Lake, most people access it with ATV’s and it is about an hour ride past our tent camp. Many people enjoy the ride in as you pass through many different obstacles such as barging across a lake, crossing creeks, bridges, and beaver dams which make the ride an experience in itself. The outpost cabin is one of the most remote cabins available in Manitoba that is accessible with ATV and makes for a very serene experience. The outpost cabin is an excellent place to fish, relax and enjoy what the northern wilderness has to offer.
